The medical field can be a great place to seek a job, since it is consistently one of the fastest growing career paths in the United States. Those working in the medical profession often feel a great sense of accomplishment as they are able to provide patient benefits. Typically they will work directly with doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals within hospitals or private practice clinics. Since these offices are located just about everywhere, a person trained to work in health care will usually not have a problem finding a job.

Every person who is part of the health care team plays an integral role in patient care. From receptionists to medical assistants to nurses to physicians to those involved in the billing process, each will play a part in order to create the best experience. Over the next ten years, it is predicted that there will be 3 million new jobs in the field.

One great job possibility is a medical and coding consultant. These employees can be trained through technical schooling, which typically takes up to two years. There are additional certification programs that can be completed, which will often increase income potential. Some of these positions are done from home, so working parents might find this to be a great option. Others will work in a clinic setting, working directly with the doctors in order to ensure proper billing is completed.

Being a part of the health care experience is a rewarding place to work. Many people are foregoing other technical programs to become a member of a medical office team.

The future

Did you know that the average life expectancy in America is 78 but for a child born in 2010 it’s expected to reach 100 years!

The average person in the workforce changes jobs every five to ten years and will change career (not just jobs but whole focus of their working life!) at least three times in their working life!

Quite staggering really, when you think of it.  I mean three times in the forty five year working life we will go through the whole rigmarole of choosing a new career and possibly even training for it, that includes the expense of studying for it and looking for jobs.

What if there was a way of finding a whole field that was so big that no matter what you wanted to do next you’d find an opening in that field!

Just take Nursing for example. On average it takes two or three years study to become a nurse. Most of us only think of the person who helps the Doctor on the wards, but the role is so much bigger than that!

Say after five or ten years you want to work with older people, well then there’s nurses who specialize in working with older people (called a geriatric nurse) or maybe you want to move to work in the community, or anything else, the sky’s really the limit, and that’s just nursing!

By the way all you need to study to become a nurse is a decent high school education! If you’ve got a college degree then all the better, but you’ll be studying for a degree when you do your training. Oh I need to note that the training is a lot of hands on hard work.

At dcsna.org they can help you find that profession where you can be learning every day for the rest of your life.

Healthcare for all?

So, The President has got his agenda of free healthacre for all! Every American is going to be super healthy from now on and the State is going to pay for it! Or are they?

Some of the people arguing for the other way (Keep it in private hands) argued that it was the death knell for the Healthcare industry in America! Neither of them are really true!

What is happening is a huge growth in the whole area with many careers opening up, but just as important is the fact that patient benefits will be significant!

Now instead of having huge bills when you have an accident you’ll be able to get the emergency care you need for free instead of huge Ambulance bills and bills from the Emergency Room that treated you. But don’t throw away the Insurance policy just yet!

The fact is that even in countries where they’ve had ‘free healthcare’ for years they also have something else! WAITING LISTS! people who need surgery but it’s not life threatening often have to wait months if not years to get onto a waiting list and then wait months for the operation only to have it cancelled at the last minute and back to the list  you go!

At dcsna.org the latest information on careers in the Medical field and especially the details about both Hospitals and private clinics is all there. they can help you with finding the place that’s best for you and with advancing your career.

Don’t wait around for this. As the Ad says Just do it

Medical Administration

One of the growing fields in the job market is the medical field. Many think that the medical field is restricted or reserved for jobs that involve direct patient care, but that’s not the case. There are far more jobs out there than doctors, nurses, and staff technicians. These days, one of the biggest fields for jobs is in the medical administrative office. It’s a great field to get into and is something that an individual can be trained in.

These days, the hospitals are a big business, and so part of the administration field is dealing with the hospital from a financial and clerical perspective. Those working in the field would be expected to update hospital records, keep track of inventory, and check to make sure that patients were billed correctly for services incurred. These things are just a few of the things that this field offers.

For those looking to get into the field, universities, both online and on campus, offer programs for this field. Many times, the program is a year to two years. There are some colleges out there that will offer full bachelors degrees for a general expertise in the field, but specialized training may often come in the form of a certificate.

There are a lot of reasons why those looking to get into a field should consider studying this online. Many online schools offer a break from the regular schedule of the university. They offer their students a chance to learn in their own method and at their own hours. This gives students the flexibility to work. Many students are not comfortable with the traditional university, and therefore, they are better suited chasing their degree online.

Sites like elearners.com are great resources for finding the right online school. There are a wealth of schools all over the country that are offering the medical administrative degree from home. It’s a growing field that is well worth looking into.
